On June 14, 2025, artist and muralist Comacell Brown Jr. wed Shaleece Brown in a heartfelt ceremony at The Westin Hotel in Downtown Annapolis, Maryland. Captured and directed by @ShotbyNa, the day’s events were transformed into a cinematic short film titled “Painted In Brown.” The film blends the elegance of the occasion with the couple’s unique love story, offering viewers an intimate glimpse into their vows, celebrations, and the artistry woven throughout the day.

Our paths crossed at the intersection of our professions, collaborating Art & Community.
Shaleece and Comacell’s story began with a shared passion for community and art. As the director of the Tree House Project, Shaleece sought talented creatives to help promote the youth mentoring programs. It was through Erin, a mutual friend, that Shaleece and Comacell first connected.
What started as a professional collaboration soon blossomed into a genuine friendship, marked by shared interests and meaningful conversations. Over time, their bond deepened into a loving relationship. Their journey together was highlighted by a special project: creating a mural that combined Comacell’s artistic leadership and the enthusiastic participation of the young people Shaleece guided. It was in these moments of collaboration, laughter, and mutual support that their love story flourished.
